The Cost of College
Every college and university that accepts federal student loans must disclose data about its cost of attendance. Below, all 2,940 schools with at least 1,000 undergraduates in the Department of Education's database are plotted by annual price (x-axis) and by the percentage of its students who take out loans (y axis). Use the search box to find a school and mouse over a dot for details.
*Net price is calculated as the total cost of attendance per year minus the average amount of grant and scholarship aid, so this figure is already factored into the cost.
